For the organisers behind the cause

A fundraiser event website that fills the room for the cause

A fundraiser lives on turnout. Put the story at the top, the evening's plan, and the guest list on one page, so you fill the room and can thank each donor by name.

Fill the room before you think about the money

A fundraiser lives on turnout. A hundred people in the room carry the evening — they hear the speaker, buy the raffle ticket, and give because the cause landed on them in person. The page's job is to get them through the door: make the reason clear, make the evening sound worth an hour, and make saying yes a two-tap thing.

There's no dedicated fundraiser design yet, so you build from the nearest setup and write your own story onto it. One honest note to keep at the front of mind: the page carries the invitation and tracks who's coming, while donations are collected through your own giving channel, not by My Joyfullday.

What a good fundraiser page does

    The story at the top

Lead with why the evening exists and what the money actually does — one clear paragraph, a photograph, a number if you have one. People reply to a reason, not to a bare date and venue, so the cause has to be the first thing anyone reads.

    The evening plan

Speaker, short film, supper, maybe an auction — however the night runs, spell it out so guests know what they're coming to and can tell a colleague the same. One shared page keeps the details consistent as word travels through the office.

A guest list you can thank properly

Everyone who says yes lands against their own name on your list, so you know who came and can thank them accurately afterwards. The running count also lets you size the room and the catering to a real number rather than a hopeful guess.

    Put these on the page

The details a busy supporter checks before deciding whether to give an evening to the cause.

    • The cause, in one honest paragraph at the top.
    • The date, time, and venue, with directions.
    • How the evening runs — the speaker, any auction, and roughly when.
    • Whether it's ticketed, and how to respond, phrased as the organiser's own arrangement.
    • How and where to give, if someone wants to before the night.
    • The reply-by date, and a line on being thanked by name.

    Wording for a fundraiser page

Say what the money does before you say when dinner is served.

    The story opener
Last winter we served 4,000 warm meals from a single kitchen. This year we want to open a second one, and the evening on 12 October is how we get it started.
    The invitation
Come to a supper and a short talk on Thursday 12 October at the community hall. We'll tell you exactly where the money goes, and then feed you well.
    A note on giving
There's no charge to come — the room is free and everyone's welcome. If you'd like to give, the evening funds the second kitchen, and details of our giving channel are on the page.

    How it works

Building a page that fills the room

Start from the nearest setup and lead with the story

Create the event in the app or tell Jitabi about the fundraiser on WhatsApp. There's no dedicated design, so pick the closest type and put the cause — one honest paragraph and a photograph — at the top of the page.

Lay out the evening and how to give

Add the running order — the speaker, the film, supper — and state clearly how giving works through your own channel. Guests should understand the night and the reason before they reply.

Turn on replies so you can thank by name

Let each supporter confirm against their name, add a companion within your limit, and note meals for the catering. The list becomes the record you thank people from after the evening.

Share widely and watch the room fill

Send one link to the WhatsApp group, the office email, and any printed flyer as a QR. Watch the count rise, remind the names still quiet, and plan the room to the number you can see.

    Questions

Common questions about fundraiser event website

    Can the page take donations?

No — My Joyfullday doesn't process payments. The page invites people, explains the cause, and tracks who's coming. Donations run through your own giving channel, which you point to on the page. The invitation and the attendance are what this handles well.

How do we handle a ticketed fundraiser?

State the price on the page and describe how to respond through your own arrangement — a bank detail or the organiser's ticketing. Guests confirm against their names on your list so you can see who's committed, but the money itself isn't collected here.

Is there a fundraiser event template?

There's no dedicated fundraiser design yet. You begin from the nearest setup and write your own story onto it. The shareable page, replies tracked against names, plus-ones, and reminders carry over — which is what a room-filling invitation needs.

How do we thank attendees accurately?

Because each yes lands against a name on your guest list, you have a real record of who came rather than a rough guess of turnout. That list is what you thank people from afterwards, and what shows the board how full the room actually was.

What's the best way to fill the room?

Lead with the reason, keep the evening easy to picture, and make replying quick. Then send one consistent link everywhere — the group chat, the office, a printed flyer's QR — and let reminders reach the supporters who meant to come and simply forgot.
